The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Reservoir Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas resources. Your primary responsibility will be to optimize reservoir performance, maximize hydrocarbon recovery, and ensure efficient reservoir management.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct reservoir modeling and simulation studies to evaluate reservoir performance and predict future production trends.
  2. Develop and implement reservoir management strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and optimize field development plans.
  3. Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling engineers to assess reservoir potential and well placement.
  4. Monitor and analyze reservoir data to identify production challenges and recommend solutions.
  5. Perform decline curve analysis and reservoir surveillance to assess well performance.
  6. Generate reservoir reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  7. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and geoscientists.
  8. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance reservoir management practices.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering in the oil and gas industry.
  3. Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel).
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Knowledge of reservoir geology and geophysics.
  6. Familiarity with drilling and production operations.
  7. Effective communication and presentation abilities.
  8. Team player with leadership skills.
  9. Professional engineering license is a plus.
Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in reservoir engineering.
  • Previous work in offshore and onshore oil and gas reservoirs.
  • Proven track record of successful reservoir management and optimization.
