The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Reservoir Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas resources. Your primary responsibility will be to optimize reservoir performance, maximize hydrocarbon recovery, and ensure efficient reservoir management.
- Conduct reservoir modeling and simulation studies to evaluate reservoir performance and predict future production trends.
- Develop and implement reservoir management strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and optimize field development plans.
- Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling engineers to assess reservoir potential and well placement.
- Monitor and analyze reservoir data to identify production challenges and recommend solutions.
- Perform decline curve analysis and reservoir surveillance to assess well performance.
- Generate reservoir reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and geoscientists.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance reservoir management practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of reservoir geology and geophysics.
- Familiarity with drilling and production operations.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Team player with leadership skills.
- Professional engineering license is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in reservoir engineering.
- Previous work in offshore and onshore oil and gas reservoirs.
- Proven track record of successful reservoir management and optimization.
