Motherson Sumi Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for leading a team of production workers and ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring that production schedules are met.
- Train, mentor, and motivate production team members to achieve optimal performance.
- Monitor and maintain production equipment, addressing any issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement and enforce safety and quality control standards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and quality control, to resolve production-related issues.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of production staff and provide feedback for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Assist in the development and implementation of production plans and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a production supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with production equipment and processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production supervision.
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing industries is a plus.
